WInter is just around the corner. Be ready this year with our Cold Weather and Preservation Services.
Cottage Security - This is our most popular cold weather service because we will physically visit the property on a weekly basis. During this weekly visit we will provide a visual inspection of both the exterior and interior of the home. We are looking for any type of damage from falling tree limbs, excessive snow load on the roof, to vandalism (yes, it even happens here in northern Michigan). While on the inside of your home or cottage we will ensure the furnace/boiler is operating properly and look for any other obvious damage to include leaking pipes or other potenial water infiltration.
Daily Heat Monitoring - With our daily heat monitoring service you are required to maintain an active phone line in the home or cottage. We will install a device on the phone line that will monitor temperature and will call us immediately if the temperature drops below 45 F. We do call the number on a daily basis to ensure no one has called the number and inadvertently cancelled a freeze warning call. If the temperature drops below 45 F we will drive to the home or cottage and investigate why the heat has dropped. If service work is needed we will stay at the property while it is performed and re-secure it upon our departure.
Winterization/De-Winterization - If your home or cottage is going to be vacant during the winter months you might want to consider having it winterized. We can safely and easily shut your house or cottage down for the winter and bring it back to life in the spring. We follow the strict guidelines establised by the HUD and FHA which is used by the major lending companies in the U.S. The checklist we have developed ensures nothing is missed or overlooked. Do you have a well? No problem, we can shut it down just as easily.
Fall and Spring Cleaning - We also provide fall cleaning and/or spring cleaning to make your last fall visit and first spring visit more relaxing and enjoyable.
